The TOAR assessment program at USMRC was everything I was looking for. Captain Tom and the staff were all very skilled and knowledgeable regarding all aspects of the program. The simulator, combined with their expertise, creates an immersive experience that does an excellent job of testing your skills.

My experience getting my TOAR with Captain Rooney at Maritime TOAR Assessments was terrific. Excellent instruction and location. Even though I live in Texas, if and when I may need additional endorsements, I will make the trip up to work with Captain Rooney.

I took the TOAR with Maritime TOAR assessments. I found the experience to be exactly what needed for the Coast Guard requirements to obtain my Towing endorsements. Captain Tom was extremely professional and his staff very helpful.

I took my TOAR with Captain Tom Rooney At Maritime TOAR Assessments and I thought the class was great. Tom is a great instructor with a wealth of knowledge. There was also a lot of information from Tom's own experience running tugboats that I found to be very useful. I have suggested Tom Rooney's class to a number of mariner's, as it can be hard to get the TOAR signed off on a working boat.

The course set up makes you feel like you are in a real vessel. The instructors makes the simulation as "real world" as it gets. The situations they put you through helps how you react. I'm glad I took this course it really helped understand my limits and how I have to work with them so when the time comes I can make betters decisions.

The TOAR assessment program at USMRC is one of the best around. I had the opportunity to work with Captain Tom Rooney and his staff. Everyone was professional, knowledgeable, and helpful which made for a pleasant learning environment. The bridge simulators are equipped with everything you need and the simulations ran will help you become a more skillful mariner. I highly recommend this course for anyone looking to obtain a TOAR.

I really enjoyed the TOAR class today. I really appreciate Tom’s patience and willingness to share is knowledge and experience. I was nervous at first, but Tom reassured me and answered any and all questions I had. Had a great time. Thanks for everything!
